📃 Costa Verde Kayaking Trip description and information
Brazil’s Costa Verde, just south of Rio de Janeiro, has all the ingredients for an amazing paddling experience. National Geographic Traveler has called this area ‘a sea kayaker’s dream’ and, with its deserted sandy beaches, tropical islands, Rainforest covered hills and traditional Caiçara fishing villages, it’s easy to see why!
Setting out from the picturesque colonial town of Paraty we spend 02 days paddling the warm waters of the bay of Paraty, stopping at islands and beaches and exploring a tropical mangrove. We spend the night in the amazing beachfront Happy Hammock Eco-Guesthouse. As an overnight trip using stable double kayaks in the flat waters of the protected bay of Paraty this trip is ideal for people wanting to try a multiday sea kayaking trip for the first time.
Highlights of this lodge-based trip include swimming at deserted sandy beaches and tropical islands; experiencing the traditional Caiçara fishing culture and the spectacular panoramic views of the bay of Paraty. And with a bit of luck you might get to see the endangered Golden Lion Tamarin monkey!

We had a fantastic on the 2 day kayak tour from Paraty with Michael. All the kit and instruction was good. The coastline was amazing and stayed in a great remote hostel after the first day. We paddled past endless quiet beaches and enjoyed the mangrove.
