Mamanguá Sugarloaf Peak Hike Highlights
Stunning panoramic views from the top of the Mamanguá Sugarloaf
Saco do Mamanguá, Brazil’s only 'tropical fjord', is a unique marine ecosystem and tropical paradise located on the nearby Juatinga Peninsular Eco-reserve. On this private tour, you catch a Fastboat from the pier in Paraty to Mamanguá Bay. It's an intense hike up the Mamanguá Sugarloaf Peak (425m in 1.6km!) with your local guide for incredible views of the bays and the Rainforest covered mountainsides. On the top there is plenty of time for photos and to admire the views.
Cool down with a swim after the sweaty hike and have lunch at a local restaurant
After the hike we have lunch (not included in price) at a beach kiosk run by local people. The simple yet delicious local dish of grilled fresh fish, rice, beans, salad and 'farofa' is highly recommended! On the way back to Paraty by Fastboat there's a stop for a swim at a beautiful sandy beach. This is a great active day out for people looking to get off the beaten track for the best views!
