📃 Paraty Boat Tour description and information
Spoil yourself with a private boat tour in Paraty!
Forget the big, crowded schooners and rent a private boat!!!
This is the most relaxing way to explore the beautiful sandy beaches and tropical islands in the bay of Paraty.
We work with the very best small, converted fishing boats with onboard bar and toilet facilities. Experienced local boat captains speak English and can show you the best places for swimming, snorkelling and lunch!
There is no shortage of amazing beaches and islands to visit. We recommend making four stops – two stops at islands and two stops at beaches. Some of the beaches also have beach kiosks and restaurants where you can stop and have lunch or snacks (not included in price). As you can imagine freshly caught seafood lunch on the beach is difficult to beat!
As a private tour you can decide the route on the day of the tour together with the captain. The captains we work with are local men and women who have years of experience on the bay. If in doubt, rely on their expertise. Nevertheless here are some ideas to help you start planning. Jurumirim bay is a great spot to see turtles whilst the crystal clear waters of Pescaria Island are ideal for snorkelling. Mantimento offers wildlife viewing potential of a different kind. Who knows you might even get to see the rare Golden Lion Tamarin monkeys or dolphins swimming in the bay?
This year’s top tip is Cocos Island (presumably named after the Coconuts on the shoreline) for its classic Costa Verde waters. Vermelha beach is everything you would expect of a tropical Brazilian beach and is a great stop for lunch either at the Bamboo Bar or the Mais na Praia restaurant at Happy Hammock Eco-Guesthouse.
Mamangua Tropical Fjord is another popular destination, best visited by speedboat (or fastboat) as it’s a little further away. Contact us for more info on speedboat tours in Paraty.
Want to try something different? Then rent a couple of stand up paddle (SUP) boards to add to the fun!
