Stunningly beautiful, the bay of Paraty is best experienced on this guided kayak tour to tropical islands and deserted sandy beaches. The tour finishes with an unforgettable paddle through the mangrove, which is not accessible by boat, observing the wildlife of this incredible ecosystem.
Your experienced English speaking tour guide will give paddling and safety instruction before you set out on the warm, flat waters of the bay. For your safety and comfort we use stable double kayaks with rudders that are specifically designed to go further with less effort!
No previous kayaking experience is necessary for this kayak tour. Beginners are welcome!
You will paddle past islands and stop at beaches for swimming, snorkeling and relaxation.
This is an active, fun tour for people who want to explore the bay of Paraty and escape the boat-tripping crowds.

Quietly paddling your kayak through the protected waters of the bay of Paraty makes you feel closer to your natural surroundings, enables you to see more wildlife and gives you unique access to the tropical mangrove ecosystem.
During the kayak tour we usually see lots of different bird species: hunting, diving or just taking a ride on the thermal air currents. Jumping fish, turtles and sometimes even dolphins can appear on the route depending on the time of year. Exploring the mangrove we see various types of crabs, from the aggressive, brightly covered red mangrove crab to the more timid swamp ghost crabs.
The exact route will depend on the sea conditions (tides and currents) and the weather (wind, heat and rain). What to take for the Kayak Tour: Water - Minimum 1.5L, Cash, Swimsuit (shorts/ bikini), sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, snack, repellent. We provide dry bags for cel phones. Don’t forget your camera!
Route: Kayak tour on the flat waters of the bay of Paraty stopping at 02 beaches and paddling the mangrove, providing the tide is high enough.
Level of Difficulty: Easy/ Medium.
Group size: Minimum of 2 people; Maximum 12 people
Minimum age: 12 years old plus for the regular tour. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For families with young children (from 5 years old) we recommend a private tour.
Postponement and Cancellation Policy: In case of bad weather you can switch to another tour, postpone or cancel.
