Walk in the Atlantic forest, Pancs of the forest!

Yes, that’s what you read, walking with the naturalist, Jorge Ferreira, a passionate hunter of mushrooms and Pancs – unconventional food plants. You will discover a new way of looking at the forest.

Jorge will share his knowledge, scientific name, popular names, nutritional, medicinal value and even recipes.

For sure, you will discover new flavors or remember forgotten flavors and aromas.

Jorge, grew up in the forest, on a farm with his family.

As a result, he acquired empirically the look for botanical identification, as well as built harmonious relationships with Nature.

Among his friends he is known as “Jorge the king of the forest”.

After introductions, we headed towards the mountains of Paraty, on the Paraty x Cunha road, which follows the same direction as the indigenous trail that connected the interior with the coast and which was used by Europeans to explore the interior of the colony.

Know the Atlantic Forest and still feed on it?

How many plants did these indigenous people use for generations to feed themselves?

Do we still have the same species?

We believe that it is necessary to know to preserve, in this way, the place chosen for the activity can vary, but always along trails, within the Atlantic Forest.

We do not always do the same route, to minimize any impact left in the forest. Yes, even taking good care of the Atlantic Forest, we leave an impact!

Identifying and collecting, Jorge takes us through the magical world of different aromas and flavors, leaves, flowers, fruits, stems, roots, will be part of the tasting.

Get ready, unexpectedly, bathing in the river or waterfall, it can happen after any curve.

The tour ends at a restaurant table.

In this way, the salad will be courtesy of us, after being washed, decorated and assembled, with everything we collect along the way and you will understand how this new look of the Pancs da Floresta Atlantic Forest Tour will enrich your knowledge.
