The stunning panoramic views from the top of the Mamangua Sugarloaf are a great reward after the sweaty hike through the Atlantic Forest!
The Saco do Mamanguá, Brazil’s only tropical fjord, is a unique marine ecosystem and tropical paradise located on the nearby Juatinga Peninsular Eco-reserve. On this private tour, you catch a Fastboat from the pier in Paraty to Mamanguá Bay. It´s an intense hike up the Mamanguá Sugarloaf Peak (425m) with your local guide for incredible views of the bays and the Rainforest covered mountainsides. On the top there is plenty of time for photos and to admire the views.
On the way back you stop at a lovely sandy beach where there is time for a swim to cool off after the sweaty hike. We also recommend you try the delicious fresh fish, rice beans and salad at our favourite beach kiosk. This is a great day out for people looking to get off the beaten track for the best views!

Time to admire the view from the top of Mamangua Sugaloaf before hiking back down (about 60 minutes).
After the hike there is time for lunch on the beach below the peak and a refreshing swim in the sea. After lunch we stop for a swim on the way back to Paraty by Fastboat.
What to take to the Mamangua Sugarloaf Peak Hike: Water - minimum 1.5L, cash, shoes for walking, swimsuit, rain gear, sunscreen, snacks (no restaurants on route), repellent, Cash/ Card for lunch .
