📃 Description and information of the Kayak Crossing Paraty x Mamanguá
On this kayak expedition you will get to know Saco do Mamanguá – a classic paddle of Brazilian canoeing. And because it is in protected waters, this crossing is suitable for both inexperienced rowers and experienced rowers. During the 03 days we will experience an incredible mixture of beautiful beaches, tropical islands and Caiçara culture.
Leaving behind the houses and centuries-old churches of the historic center, on the first day we will follow the coast and discover beauties that we often do not see by boat. Bromeliads, trees with their branches touching the sea water, hidden coves and beaches, fish jumping and flying, birds diving and swimming and all without engine noise or smoke.
Arriving at the entrance to Saco do Mamanguá, we understand why we paddled there, the film set and it really was. Chosen as the setting for the film Twilight, only without vampires or wolves, but lots of fish, dolphins, birds, crabs and shrimp.
We spent the night in an inn in front of the beach, after having dinner under the starry sky. After a long day in the kayak you are sure to enjoy the simple pleasures – taking sea salt in a hot shower and stretching your body in a real bed!
We took the second day to discover the incredible charms of Saco do Mamanguá, supposedly the only tropical fjord in the world! We will climb the peak of the Sugarloaf Mountain of Mamanguá with its beautiful panoramic view of the region. And in the afternoon we will row the mangrove of Rio Grande and visit the waterfall. Nothing better than cooling off in a waterfall after a day of adventure!
On the third day we return to Paraty, stopping on the way to visit other beaches and islands. Maybe we can even see the famous Golden Lion Mico on Ilha do Mantimento.
