Walk along the Gold Road, the same path that was used in the colonial period to connect the sea to the interior of the colony. Paved with stones in the 18th century, by enslaved Africans.

Watermelon Waterfall Trail

The most imposing of Paraty, with the biggest fall and within a rich preserved forest. Beautiful hike, in a very preserved area, crossing rivers, old pastures in recovery and primary forest, we reach the waterfall. The first fall is the biggest, we suggest arriving and immediate bathing. The second fall, we reached with a 15-minute walk, another beautiful place to take a bath and admire the entire view of the forest.

Pico do Mamanguá Trail

This trail is for those who want to join on the same day, walk by the sea and in the forest.Mamanguá is an RIA, an important marine estuary, nursery of several species of fauna. Many call it tropical Fjord, due to the similarity of the mountains’ geography and the entrance from the sea, but it is not a fjord. With rich ancestral culture, the caiçaras that live in Saco do Mamanguá, present us with the art, gastronomy and culture of the sea. In a local restaurant, in the middle of the village of Cruzeiro, we experienced this experience. The walk is short, but intense. It’s only 1.6 km away, but we leave the sea level and go up to 475 meters high, that is, a lot of climb on the way, a lot of descent on the way back. From up there, you have an incredible view of the entire region and Paraty Bay, I understand all the natural wealth of the region

Recommended tour: Mamanguá (kayak 3 days)

Saco Bravo waterfall trail

Waking up very early, with the birds counting in a comfortable chalet in the village of Ponta Negra and after a delicious breakfast, we started our day. Heavy walk, worth every step taken when arriving at the natural pool. Who doesn’t enjoy bathing in an infinity pool? And if this pool is natural, running water and fresh from the forest, with sea water, brought by crashing waves on the shore? This is the magic of this Trail, knowing a unique and very preserved place.
